Christmas Card Photo Shoot

Calvin is very creative and loves to design things. He loved creating all the poses and props for our Christmas card shoot!

note: Calvin NEEDED the fishbowls in the picture. We also had to go outside (cold!) and search for a flower for Sophia to hold. Unfortunately, all we could find was a little weed. I guess that works too!

Only My Husband!

My husband was very sweet. I had just taken a very long and refreshing shower, when my husband gently says "I cleaned our room, can you make the bed?" That was crazy! My husband never cleans and our room is always a mess! I agreed and went right to our bed and this is what I saw...

Impala

A beautiful drive to Grandma's house



This August we were blessed with a new car! Hello, Impala! My poor mother ended up with our old minivan, but it is still an upgrade from her '93 Intrepid (aka the dec-repid). We love our intrepid infinitely more than the minivan, which is a bit silly, because they are the same year, but our Impala has 100k more miles. Oh well, it still runs better! and gas is way cheaper! Hubby loves any car used by police (his old car was a '93 Crown Victoria, and it was(still is) a tank!)

Jordan let me style his hair. I liked it, but he thought he looked stupid. Then he put on my glasses and I took a picture. My little dork!




Today Jordan and I went to eat at McDonalds. I had a McFlurry and Jordan had McNuggets and fries. I worked on my 1000 piece puzzle a little (Lora keeps messing it up!) and then I entered online giveaways. I'll work on my puzzle more until Jordan gets home, then maybe we can do something fun!

June 28

Today I began a puzzle. Then I played Brawl again. I went swimming briefly and then picked Shelby up from the vet. She is doing better today. Then Jordan and I played Brawl more.

June 27

I finished one puzzle this morning, then I did another one. Shelby is feeling sick. She won't eat or move. She has a little camp set up in my parent's closet. I made her a card. Otherwise my day was uneventful!

June 26

*Today was a blast! I took Jordan his lunch at 12:30, then I went to the pool. I texted Cheri to come to the pool, and she was already there! I went with her to buy a swimsuit for her and Jason, then we swam all day. After that I took a nap. I woke up and cuddled with Jordan until Iggy and Josh came here and then we talked until 4 in the morning. What a day! I was so busy, I forgot to eat :S

Happy Birthday Mother!

Today Jordan got me some puzzles :) I worked on one diligently all day, and got about 400/500 pieces done. Jordan decided to buy a new shotgun and shoot it with Matthew. They had fun!

I made another cat hoodie today. It took up most of my day. Brock sure does love it though!

June 23

Iggy's 28th birthday! We ate at Ruby Tuesday and I bought lots of new fabric to make kitty clothes. This is the first one I made.

June 22

I began knitting a vest for Brock. It is getting hard, so I probably wont finish it. I sewed a vest for Brock, but it was too small, so I gave it to Shelby. I went to walmart to get more fabric, but no one was there. How sad!

June 21

It's my birthday! I went to eat at Il Spazio. Jordan and I shared a chicken alfredo pizza and pasta. Mother made me a key lime pie. It was delishious! The rest of the day was pretty lazy. We watched Bugs Life and Toy Story 2.

June 20

Today is father's day. We spent the whole day in the car. My mother finally bought a digital camera ($60). She is still trying to figure it out. We ate Mexican in the Ozarks. I had a big bowl of cheese, and it was amazing!

We finally made it home and went to see Jordan's parents. His father grilled for us. I watched Remember the Titans with his mother.

June 19

Today was Sophia's birthday party! First, we went to her t-ball game. She ran off the field a few times. I think she gets bored easy! Her party had a pretty cake and the kids played on the water slide the whole time. I sat at the top and regulated the children. It was a great day! It started raining as soon as we got back to our apartment, so I didn't get to swim :( We ate at Pizza Inn and the power went out a few times.

June 18

We made it to Springfield! On the way we ate at IHOP! Yum! After driving all over town a few times, we got Sophia lots of presents!

I even got a new swim suit! It is long sleeve, so no sunblock for me!

At 6 we went to Calvin's baseball game. He hit two triples :D. I didn't get to watch him play because I was watching Sophia and her friend Jordan play in the sandbox. I still had fun though. After the game we ate at Pizza Inn and I had shaved ice. Jordan went and watched me swim around 9:00. Then we ended the night by playing some Brawl.

June 17

Today I woke up and went with my mother to look through Bennett's clothes and pick some out for Calvin. He had so many clothes and it took forever! Luckily, we found lot of cute clothes for Calvin :)

I picked up Shelby at 4:30 and she had popsicles! We ate those at the park, but then they began to melt and we took them home to refreeze. We drove away and saw Crust and Joby sitting outside, so we talked to them for a bit.

Next we went to Pancake City. It was sooo yummy! We sat and talked for about 2 hours. I enjoy that atmosphere. An older farmer-type guy kept eavesdropping on our conversation, but I enjoyed it. Earlier we talked about the ice cream truck, and I finally saw it drive by while we were still sitting in Pancake City.

We quickly paid for our food and then jetted off the locate Mz. Freeze. I thought it went to Suburban Dr., but we couldn't find it. Then we looked at the ball field and it was just leaving! We had to follow it across town, but we finally caught up to it :D. We got our drumsticks and ate in the car. When I went to leave, a guy parked RIGHT behind me, and there was a car close in front of me, so I couldn't leave! Then the guy who parked behind me came our and told us to move our car so he could park there. What a jerk! I made him back up so I could get out. Dumb Trumo.

Then we play at Ray Miller and Shelby was too scared to climb most things. We had lots of fun though. We decided to see Meg, but then we got scared and didn't. Instead, we drove by houses and discussed their windows. It was a very fun day!

June 16

This is (hopefully) the squirrel that added excitement to my day.

This is how Jordan tells the story:

Maia's mom was the first to see it, and she told us to hurry outside. Once I got out there, we decided it was dangerous ... See Moreand better off dead, and we quickly came to the consensus that shooting it was the best idea.

I shot once, and I am pretty sure that first shot was the one that killed it. However, it didn't really move after it had been shot the first time. It was clinging to the trunk of a tree, and I assumed that after I shot it once it would fall to the ground dead. I was horribly wrong. I shot a second time, which caused the squirrel to descend most of the way down the tree, but it was still holding on to the tree, but now it was twitching. I was sure it should be dead, however I didn't want the animal to suffer so I fired 3 more times to be sure that I had put it out of its misery. It was then laying on the ground on its back, looking incredibly dead. Just when I thought the ordeal was over, the squirrel started clawing and biting in my direction, which scared the hell out of me. I fire twice more, and after that the squirrel stopped moving again. I only had one round left, so I used it as well, just for good measure, since this squirrel was apparently invincible.

After that, I went and ate Mexican. I was pretty sure the squirrel would be gone when I got back(just like in every movie where they think they have killed the bad guy, and then he disappears). Thankfully, he was still there, and still very dead.

Working on the assumption that the squirrel had exhibited behavior most normal squirrels do not, so therefore it must be ill, I decided to burn it, because that it was you do to a zombie after you kill it.

One squirrel funeral pyre later, we buried his charred remains in a very deep hole. Because, you know, you can't be too safe.

So I'm pretty sure that had the squirrel bit me, I would have come down with some bizarre disease that makes me crave human flesh, and thus the Zombpocalypse would have began. Thanks to my quick wits and the knowledge gleaned from just recently playing lots of Resident Evil, I do believe I single-handedly saved humanity from catastrophe at the hands of the undead.

June 15

I got my hair highlighted again! It had been about a year, so it was definitely time! Jordan also got his hair buzzed off. I like him with longer hair, but he think short is easier. Asher was happy to play with Jordan while my hair got processed. After that we went to get ice cream at Snack Shack while Jessica was working. Jordan was going to see his parents, but he didn't get to. We played Brawl until he went to work.

June 14

Happy Birthday Sophia!!! She is 4 years old today.



Iggy made really good spaghetti today. I made some cereal treats for dessert. I took Brock outside so he could lay in the grass and have a snack. He enjoyed it.

June 13

*Today we went to Alyvia's 5th birthday party. It was cowgirl themed. I ate lots of cotton candy :) Jordan stayed there to visit Tydren, and he is not home yet. I've been working on a puzzle, and I just finished it. Now it's time to begin a new one!

June 12

Last night was terrible! I was up all night feeling like I was going to die :( I finally fell asleep around 7:15 (am) in a rather strange fetal position. Unfortunately, this only lasted about 15 minutes. Then my legs hurt like crazy! Now I'm feeling a bit better. Jordan and I planned on riding bikes tonight, but it is stormy outside.

June 11

Today Jordan and I played Wii together (Brawl). It was fun, but we sucked the last round. Every other round I got the most KOs :P We had parmesan pasta for lunch (Jordan had chicken too). It was also yummy. Jordan went out to Tanner's house for the night. Hopefully he has fun and is using his brain. I wanted to hang out with someone tonight, but no one responded to my texts :( How sad!

June 10

I feel like I did nothing today! I worked on my puzzle until Jordan got home (early!) and then we went for a walk down town. While on the walk we saw Shelby and Alyssa. I stopped to talk to them for a while, then we continued back to the car. I wore my nike sandals, which was a bad idea for walking so much. The skin on the bottom of my toe is separated, but still thick, so I can't pull it off and it is driving me crazy! I asked Jordan if he would go an entire week without using his computer. He got really mad about it, so I think that shows that he should really cut back on it.

June 9

I think I am finally beginning to develop my summer tan. WooHoo! Jordan went on a long walk with me tonight around the bike trail and then I got a limeade at Taco Bell. It wasn't very tasty.

June 8

It's my father's 64th birthday! My parents got back from KC. I made a french vanilla cake and picked fresh strawberries in the pouring rain. It felt great! I also took Lora, Brock, and Aiza out to play ;)

June 7

Today I completed my puzzle and started on a new one. I really need to do something better with my life. Jordan surprised me last night with some flowers from the field. That was awfully sweet of him! I have been feeling sick off and on today with some slight nausea. Jordan has had lots of stomach problems today and is feeling pretty sick. We tried to go to the gun shop, but it wasn't open. I didn't get to exercie today either.

June 6

I slept terrible last night! I kept waking up and then had problems falling back asleep. I had two dreams that I could remember. The first was that I saw Mariel and she was pregnant with a girl. My next dream was that I went to Tyler's birthday party at the Aquatic Center. After I decided to wake up I worked on a puzzle that I will probably finish tonight. I spent 15 minutes in the sun and then did my stretching exercise. It feels good to stretch! I also went on a nice long walk through King's Ridge and the bike trail. I wanted to go longer, but Jordan wanted to come home and shoot his new gun.

Jordan is working today. Blaaaah. I have been working dilligently on a puzzle. Today I started looking into becoming a foster home for a local animal rescue organization. I'm really missing Saidie, but I feel bad taking her from such a loving home. Of course, this whole thing could have been avoided if my mother would have never given her away in the first place! Ugh.. But what's a girl to do?
